WARRANTY SUMMARY
For a 4-stroke Outboard you can rely on... Suzuki’s 5-Year Warranty applies to its range of Electronic Fuel Injected Four-Stroke Outboards (DF40 – DF300). 3 Year Warranty applies to the DF2.5 to DF25 4-stroke and 2-stroke models. 1 Year Warranty (unlimited hours) applies on all models for commercial use.

WARRANTY POLICY

Many benefits afforded under this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of the product (or service), which the customer has under the Trade Practices Act and other State and Territory laws.

(1) Warranty Policy

The Haines Assurance Program is the provider of warranty in the event of any defect(s) in the manufacture or workmanship of a new Suzuki outboard, or any part or parts thereof (normal wear of parts excluded), upon such circumstances being disclosed immediately by the owner of the outboard to an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer during the period of the warranty, together with sufficient information to verify the sale details of the outboard. The authorised Suzuki Marine dealer will then, at the company’s option, either repair or replace the defective part or parts at no charge.

Any repairs during the warranty period must be carried out by an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer and the owner shall, at his own expense, arrange the delivery and collection of the outboard.

For DF40 through to DF300 outboards, refer to special terms & conditions regarding 5-
year warranty for recreational use. Any defective parts removed from the outboard become the property of The Haines Group.

(2) Outboard Motor Warranty Period and Warranty Policy

RECREATIONAL USAGE

DF 4-Stroke Models – DF2.5 – DF25
Any new Suzuki DF2.5 to DF30 HP outboard purchased from and registered by an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer, for recreational usage in Australia or New Zealand, will be warranted against defects in the materials or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase/delivery, subject to the exclusions (details in the Service & Warranty Manual).

DF 4-Stroke Models - DF40HP – DF300HP
Any new 2006 and later (40-300 EFI) model purchased from and registered by an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer from the 3rd July 2006, for recreational usage in Australia, and from the 1st November 2006, in New Zealand, will be warranted against defects in the materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of Purchase/Delivery, subject to the exclusions (details in the Service & Warranty Manual).

DT 2-Strokes Models - DT2.2 – DT40
Any new Suzuki DT9.9 to DT40 HP outboard purchased from and registered by an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer, for recreational usage in Australia or New Zealand, will be warranted against defects in the materials and/or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase/delivery, subject to exclusions (details in the Service & Warranty Manual).

COMMERCIAL USAGE

DF 4-Stroke Models & DT 2-Stroke Models
Any new Suzuki DF Four Stroke or DT two stroke model outboard sold and registered for commercial usage, such as for hire or any other income-generating activities or by Government, State or self-funded rescue/lifesaving operations, shall be covered by warranty against faulty parts and/or workmanship for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase/delivery from an authorised Suzuki Marine dealer in Australia or New Zealand. The second half of this 12-month warranty is subject to exclusions (details in the Service & Warranty Manual).
